Emily has led research for a variety of clients, including the Sutton Trust, the Training and Development Agency (TDA), Creativity, Culture and Education (CCE), and the National College. As well as leading national evaluations, Emily has more recently focused on delivering smaller scale research, development and consultancy support. At NFER, Emily focuses on projects concerning social mobility, particularly around access to Higher Education. She also leads on research around multi-agency working and extended services (including the role of the police, mental health practitioners and social care professionals working with schools) and projects concerning creativity and education and continuing professional development for teachers.
Emily is skilled in all phases of research and has been central to exploring streamlined and cost-effective approaches to online surveys. Offering high-level quantitative skills as well as broad experience of qualitative research methods, she is an accomplished mixed methods researcher.
