She has extensive experience of evaluating initiatives and activities which involve young people directly including, for example, an evaluation of the ‘children in trouble’ projects, designed to reduce rates of reoffending and custodial sentences among young people. At present, Kerry is managing a project on young people’s views of child poverty and a study of how young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) are prepared for adult life and services.
Kerry has considerable experience of both qualitative and quantitative research methods and been involved in large scale, national surveys as well as more in-depth qualitative research. Kerry has has expertise in engaging ‘hard to reach’ young people and families in the research process.
