Clare is a Research Officer in the Research, Evaluation and Information Department. Clare is currently working on a range of projects including evaluations of Every Child a Reader and the dissemination of information of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Prior experience and professional background

Clare has a BSc in Sociology and an MSc in Social Research Methods. Prior to joining NFER, Clare worked at the Home Office as a Research Officer on the British Crime Survey. This was a quantitative role involving the statistical analysis of a large-scale data set.

Main research interests

Social inclusion, disengagement from learning and research methods and statistics.

Other research interests

Ethnic minority and migrant pupil achievement, gender and class.
